Privacy Policy

Sonvio · Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sonvio ("Sonvio", "the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App, with particular attention to the Music Diary / Today's Theme Song feature, which turns a short note about your day into AI-generated music, cover art, and a title.

Please read this Policy together with our Terms & Conditions. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Summary

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Content you create

2.2 Usage and analytics data

Through Google Firebase Analytics we collect aggregated, event-level information such as which features you use (for example: a diary entry was created, a track was generated, played, or saved), session timing, app version, device model, operating-system version, language, and approximate region. These events are used to understand and improve the App, not to read the content of your entries.

2.3 Diagnostics

Through Firebase Crashlytics we collect crash reports and technical diagnostics (device state, stack traces, identifiers needed to group crashes) so we can fix stability problems.

2.4 Advertising data

We use Google AdMob to display ads to users who are not subscribed. Ad providers may process your IP address, device and ad identifiers, and ad-interaction data. On iOS, access to the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking is requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and is used only if you grant permission. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized.

2.5 Purchase data

Subscriptions (weekly, monthly, and yearly plans) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive transaction and subscription-status information from Apple needed to unlock features and manage your usage allowance. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

2.6 Technical data

When the App communicates with our servers we automatically process standard technical data such as IP address, request timestamps, and basic device information for security, abuse prevention, and service delivery.

3. How AI Generation Works (Important)

When you create a Music Diary entry or use any generation feature, the text you provide is transmitted over a secure connection to our backend (cat.noody.org), which forwards it to our third-party AI processor, Replicate, Inc., and the models running on it (including Meta's MusicGen for audio and a large language model for titles and image prompts). These services generate the audio, artwork, and titles that are returned to your device.

This means your diary text leaves your device and is processed by these providers. Do not enter passwords, financial details, government identifiers, health information, or anything you consider highly sensitive. While diary entries naturally describe moods and personal events, you remain in control of what you write.

4. How We Use Information

5. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the App:

7. International Transfers

Our service providers, including Replicate, Apple, and Google, may process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using the App you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside your country of residence, with safeguards as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

9. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the generation feature), on the basis of your consent (e.g., personalized advertising via ATT), and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App.

10. Children's Privacy

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, to protect information in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
